The rocker performed a medley of tunes from his pair of new albums, ARTOFFICIALAGE and PLECTRUMELECTRUM, which came out last September, showing off new material while exhibiting the form and stage presence that made him a star from the start.

Prince kept his distance from the fans, appearing only to play his music, which left many fans on Twitter disappointed. But being the once elusive symbol that he is, he surprised fans by calling out Kendrick Lamar to perform with him.
The event kicks off at 10:30 p.m. ET on the Live Nation Channel on Yahoo.
After teasing “Clouds” when his bandmates announced his new two albums on Good Morning America, Prince has followed it up with “Funknroll.”
While Prince fans eagerly await the release of two new albums on Sept. 30, the singer has shared two new songs: “U Know” and “Whitecaps.”
They feature some songs that we’ve heard in recent years.
