Metallica unveiled their new track “The Lords of Summer,” in front of an excited Colombian crowd last night marking their first new music since 2008’s Death Magnetic.
“We both never felt comfortable going down the same path that everyone else was doing. Metallica’s always been autonomous, and Lou Reed is the godfather of being an outsider, being autonomous, marching to his own drum.”
Metallica will peel off the music from their forthcoming 3-D feature film, Metallica Through The Never, and release it as a stand-alone two disc set on September 24, just days before the movie hits IMAX theaters nationwide.
