In Mukilteo yesterday afternoon, a small plane that had just taken off from Paine Field, crashed on a busy Mukilteo road. And yes, there were plenty of cars on that road – it was rush hour.
The plane went perpendicular to traffic – right over it – caught a power line, clipped a traffic signal rupturing its fuel tank that ignited a mid-air fuel spill that doused an SUV waiting at the traffic light below in flames.
Miraculously, the pilot and his passenger walked away and only two people below suffered minor injuries and only one needed to be hospitalized.
And, oddly enough, someone in traffic had their cell camera on and filmed the whole thing…
