Out of Pennsylvania: Man Sentenced For Stealing Brain
A prison sentence is being given to a brain thief. Joshua Long of Carlisle was busted last year when the human brain was ripped off and he had been accused of using the embalming fluid to get high. The body part was discovered under a porch in a Walmart bag and officials were able to track the crime back to Long. He pled guilty this week to the crime and was sentenced to two-weeks-to-two-years in prison. Police say the brain was a teaching tool for a school.

In Florida, Duh: Lawyer’s Pants Catch Fire During Arson Trial
The phrase “liar, liar, pants on fire” is taking on a literal meaning when a lawyer’s pants started burning in a Florida courtroom. Defense attorney Steven Gutierrez’s pants started smoking while he was defending an arson suspect in Miami-Dade county court. Gutierrez told NBC News he began to feel heat coming from his pocket where he had several e-cigarette batteries. While arguing his client’s car had spontaneously combusted, his pants did the same. The attorney made a quick exit to the restroom where he put out the fire. Gutierrez wasn’t hurt but said he has quit using e-cigarettes.
Dateline Los Angeles: Company To Put Children’s Playgrounds Inside Movie Theaters
Playgrounds are being added to movie theaters in California. Mexico-based movie theater chain Cinepolis has a in-theater Playground concept which features a colorful play area near the screen, a jungle gym, and a cushy beanbag chair section. The idea to let kids run amok inside a movie theater is to help the world’s fourth-largest cinema operator compete with streaming services like Netflix. The new theaters will be open in Los Angeles and San Diego on March 16th to screen Disney’s live-action “Beauty and the Beast” remake.
