Clemson is celebrating its first national championship title since 1981. The second-ranked Tigers defeated number-one Alabama 35-31 in the College Football Playoff National Championship Game in Tampa. Clemson avenged a loss to the Crimson Tide in last year’s title game.

Clemson captured its first national championship since 1981. Alabama’s Bo Scarbrough rushed for 93 yards and two touchdowns before leaving with a leg injury. The Crimson Tide, who wasted a 14-0 lead and allowed 21 points in the fourth quarter, finish the season 14-and-1.
