After last week’s game, Richard Sherman said the refs calls were egregious. Well, The Seattle Seahawks say they’ve been told by the NFL that a few calls that went against them in last Sunday’s game with New Orleans were indeed wrong. Including a defensive holding penalty against cornerback DeShawn Shead which allowed a Saints drive to continue and end with a field goal to cut the Seahawks’ lead to one point in the third quarter. Seattle was also told a penalty that should have been made against the Saints wasn’t made. Head coach Pete Carroll said after Sunday’s game he was upset that the Seahawks were penalized eleven times to only two for New Orleans.
Besides all that, Sherman says that the NFL is just not fun anymore:
For the good news, enter Cliff Avril, who may be having the best season of his 9 year career, and was named the NFC Defensive Player of the Month after racking up 6.5 sacks. Cliff has said that for every sack he gets, he’ll build a new solid house in Haiti for its citizens.
Courtney Love, Hole singer and former wife of Kurt Cobain, is going to star in an upcoming Lifetime show. The network announced yesterday that Love will star in the upcoming pilot for “A Midsummer’s Nightmare”, which is a take on William Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.” Production started on the project earlier this week.
Ozzy Osbourne already has his sights on another solo album. Black Sabbath is starting to get close to the end of their farewell tour but in a new interview, the frontman reiterated that he is not retiring. Ozzy isn’t sure when the record will be out but says he can’t work on it while also touring with Sabbath. He did reveal that he’s been writing with Billy Morrison and Steve Stevens from Billy Idol’s band.
Keith Richards, Robert Plant, Bruce Springsteen, Patti Smith and more than 175 other rockers have made a video called “We Are Not Afraid” aimed at raising funds for the refugee crisis.
