11.2 Bono Is A Woman Of The Year, Marshawn Was In The Hawks Locker Room, Queen’s First Broadcast

Seahawks
Michael Bennett is getting knee surgery today in LA – good luck, man.

A special guest showed up in the Hawks locker room yesterday: Marshawn Lynch– and he was wearing full Seahawks gear. Sweatshirt, shorts and sandals, more team gear than he wore when he played with the team — according to The News Tribune’s Greg Bell, who asked Marshawn how he was doing, and Marshawn said “Smooth,” which is more than he said one on one to Greg Bell in five years. Beastmode was in town for Ricardo Lockette’s charity.

World Series
Much to the chagrin of Indians fans, the Chicago Cubs last night in Cleveland’s house, tied up the series 3 to 3. Addison Russell belted a grand slam to power the Cubs to a 9-3 win.

The legend of Bill Murray continues to grow. Cubs fan Karen Michel walked up to the box office last night hoping to miraculously get a ticke. She was denied and that’s when Murray walked by and gave her a ticket to get in the game, which turned out to be the seat right next to him, a few rows behind home plate. They chatted and had a good old time.

Weird old Charlie Sheen, who played Indians pitcher Ricky “Wild Thing” Vaughn in the 1989 movie “Major League,”  is feeling snubbed because he hasn’t been asked to throw out the first pitch during the series…

Rock News

Bono is the first man ever to be named on Glamour magazine’s annual Women of the Year list.  Bono said, “I’m grateful for this award as a chance to say the battle for gender equality can’t be won unless men lead it along with women.”

Remember when Ron Swanson won it a few years back?

Queen have released the video for “My Fairy King” which was recorded on the BBC in February of 1973 – five months before their first album dropped. BBC DJ John Peel says as far as he knows, this is the first broadcast ever by Queen.
