A few years back, Federal Way comic book store owner Darren Adams bought a comic book – Action Comics No. 1 – the same comic book that introduced the world to Superman. Smart purchase, Darren.

According to the Federal Way Mirror, this copy is an original, not a restored version, that was purchased in Virginia back in the 1930’s and then kept in a cedar chest for $40 years. Now it’s kept in a plastic case to preserve it’s integrity.

What we want to know is how much Mr. Adams invested in this back when he bought. What we do know is that he got over 3 million bucks for it!

We’ve put a call in to Darren at Pristine Comics in Federal Way. We will keep you posted.
