Idaho Indian Tribe Cancels Ted Nugent Concert Citing His ‘Racist Views’

Ted Nugent is known for causing a stir with his colorful comments, but now one town is taking action against the rocker’s hate speech by hitting him where it hurts the most: his wallet.

According to the Associated Press (via Billboard), Nugent was set to play a casino in Idaho on August 4, but the Coeur d’Alene Tribe cancelled the show citing Nugent’s “racist and hate-filled remarks.”

The Native American tribe explained on Monday (July 21) that it booked Nugent without realizing he spouted “racist attitudes and views.” The tribe however did not give specific detail to which of Nugent’s comments they oppose.
