Marshawn Lynch has been missing in action from pre-season sessions and outings with the Seattle Seahawks so it has many people wondering what’s going on with the running back.
According to ESPN, Lynch may be skipping the Seahawks mandatory minicamps because he’s unhappy with his contract.
A “source close to the situation” wrote: “It’s very, very unlikely that Lynch will be there. He wants the Seahawks to renegotiate his current contract and provide him with more up-front money.”
Lynch is starting the third year of his four-year deal that is worth $30 million, including $6 million in signing bonus. If the running back skips the three-day minicamp this week, it will cost him $70,000 in fines.
Lynch has made no official comment.
