General Hospital alum and singer of “Jessie’s Girl,” Rick Springfield, will be signing copies of his debut novel, Magnificent Vibration, at the University of Washington book store Wednesday, May 14th at 7 p.m.
Vibration tells the story of Bobby, a man who steals a self-help book and, after calling the number scrawled on the inside cover, realizes he has a direct line to God. Bobby goes on a quest (where he is joined by some chick named Alice) and tries to save the planet. We aren’t sure from what; we’re still re-watching Beyonce and HOVA in the elevator and haven’t had time to check it out yet.
We did a quick Amazon search to check out the details:
“I read it and wanted to read it again till my baby woke up!!!” said one reviewer.
“Kept reading til I was finished,” said another.
NJ Mom said: “I can describe this novel as a combination of The Wizard of Oz, The Sound of Music, It’s a Wonderful Life and The Ten Commandments…. on steroids… with a bit of porn!”
One reviewer, Julie, gave the novel 5 stars, exclaiming: “WTF?!?!… but in a good way!”
If you miss out on the book signing on the 14th, you can still catch Rick when he returns to Seattle for a July 31st show at the Tulalip Amphitheatre (also featuring Pat Benatar)!
