“You gotta keep ‘em separated.”

20 years ago today (April 8th, 1994), The Offspring released their breakout album Smash featuring household tunes like “Self Esteem,” “Gotta Get Away” and that one with the hookiest, Middle Eastern-soundin’ lick, “Come Out And Play”:

In celebration of the album’s anniversary, the band will hit the road to play it front to back. A Seattle date hasn’t been posted yet, but JACK will fill you in when it happens. Expect later this summer.

But wait, there’s more!

You can score the Smash 20th Anniversary Edition CD or LP. This beast has all 14 original tracks –but on the LP version, they’ve been remastered on 180-gram vinyl. Yummy. Both formats have restyled album package artwork and a large format, 24-page booklet featuring never before seen photos of the band and recollections and quotes from all the members.

Alright, we’ll leave you with one of the first performances of the song “You Will Find A Way” — the video is from the June 10 ShowBox SoDo gig!
