If you haven’t had the chance to see all nine of this year’s Oscar nominees for best picture, this video is your chance to catch up. I’ve seen 6 of them, and after watching these kids’ re-enactments, trust me, don’t bother with watching the whole movie. (You’ve only got 2 days, anyway.) These petite actors sum up each film brilliantly.
Out of all the nominees, I would say that American Hustle is the most complicated plot-wise, so my hat is off to this underaged acting troupe.
Captain Phillips, Dallas Buyers Club, Gravity, and The Wolf of Wall Street are pretty easy to follow. Nebraska has some nice surprises. I have not seen Her, Philomena, or 12 Years a Slave. And now, I don’t have to!
