It was announced that Sasquatch 2014, in case you didn’t know, would be extended to two weekends instead of just the traditional Memorial Day weekend mayhem. That’s right, George, Washington (or Quincy…wherever you want to place the Gorge Amphitheatre) will be getting a lot of action July 4-6 too.
On Tuesday, the lineup was revealed and it is packed with dozens of stellar acts. The big names include the recently-reunited rap duo Outkast and the dudes who helped put Seattle on the map back in the late 80s/early 90s (Soundgarden) — each will headline the festival in May and July, respectively.
For the May 23-25 weekend, you’ll also be able to see Queens of the Stone Age, M.I.A., The National, Neko Case, Bob Mould, The Violent Femmes, and locals La Luz and Tacocat.
For the July 4-6 weekend, you’ll be getting a dose of Spoon, Kurt Vile & The Violators, Of Montreal, Reigning Sound and Lee Fields & The Expressions.
There are many, many, many more bands — check ’em out here.
As for the cash you’ll need to shell out for a ticket (in addition to gas and legal substances), you’re looking at $325/person per weekend or $550 for both. JACK says, “whatever happened to $5 donation festivals?”
