First the good news. The Red Hot Chili Peppers broke a Shazam record during their performance at the Super Bowl. What is Shazam? An App that recognizes what is being played (on your TV or over a loud speaker or on the radio) and tells you just what that song or TV commercial is. According to Billboard, the moment Anthony and Flea interrupted Bruno Mars with  “Give It Away,” Shazam went crazy. The music search app racked up a record-smashing total of 700,000 uses over the entire game, with more than half coming during the halftime performance starring Bruno and The Peppers.

Now the bad news.  Fansided.com is accusing Peppers’ bassist Flea and guitarist Josh Klingenhoffer of faking their guitar playing, or, ‘air-guitaring.’  Fansided says their guitars did not looked plugged in. Isn’t their such a thing as a wireless amp plug these days? Tell us what you think.  Click here for many more photos of the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ performance.
