The Progressive Animal Welfare Society of Lynnwood needs your help. I spoke with Naturalist Kevin Mack from the great organization that not only gets domesticated cats and dogs adopted out to good homes, but takes care of hundreds of wild critters.
This time of year is crucial for taking care of baby animals. As wildlife comes close to humanity during the spring, looking for food, they make themselves vulnerable and are getting hurt by us. Not intentionally, but lots of accidents making for maimed birds and bears and orphaned baby animals.
If you can give one 4 hour shift a week, do some training, and not be afraid of poop, PAWS is your place to volunteer. Go online to start here.
