Burglars trashed and ransacked a British woman’s home, but the stolen property and broken patio door didn’t stop her from being polite, apologizing and thanking them.
According to Yahoo Canada, Kate Barrett let a very nice not apologizing to the burglars because she and her boyfriend didn’t have nicer stuff for them to take. She cleverly hung the note on the door the thieves broke, which is now covered by a piece of wood. (She posted a picture of the letter on her Twitter account.) Kate writes that she and her boyfriend are disappointed the crooks left behind their most prized (sarcasm) possessions: a whole bunch of VHS tapes. But she did thank them for leaving something else behind.

Thanks for popping by the other night and we’re sorry we didn’t have more for you to take.
As you now know, we don’t have particularly expensive tastes so there’s no need to come in again, unless you would like to take my collection of VHS videos and cassettes – Dan is very disappointed you didn’t take these first time round.
If you would like them just knock on the front door and ask – no need to break another patio door as it’s dreadfully hard work cleaning up all the glass.
Thanks for all the finger prints – we really appreciated those.
Lots of love
Kate and Dan xxx
