Happy Birthday, Henry Winkler!

Actor Henry Winkler best known as Arthur Herbert Fonzarelli, aka “The Fonz” from Happy Days, turns 68 today (Wednesday October 30th).

After getting his MFA from the Yale School of Drama, he joined Happy Days as a small character that soon took over the show with popularity. He made giving a ‘thumbs up’ an iconic symbol of cool positivity and he was the definition of cool for suburban America. The Fonz was ranked number 4 in TV Guide’s greatest characters of all time. After Happy Days, you could catch Winkler from anything like Arrested Development to the movie Scream to The Simpsons to music videos with bands like Weezer and MGMT.

This past August, Henry Winkler joined the stage with weirdo psych rockers MGMT at their FYF Fest performance in Los Angeles. Winkler hit  a giant cowbell during their single, “Your Life Is A Lie.” Check it out below:
