After more than a decade of production, Boston‘s new album Life, Love & Hope is ready for its December 3 release. Opening track “Heaven on Earth” is now available on YouTube and audio previews of each of the album’s 12 tracks are available online official website.

Boston guitarist/leader Tom Scholz commented on the painstaking time and effort put into the album, the band’s first since 2002’s Corporate America.

“These are songs from the heart, each of them taking many months of effort to write, arrange, perform and record, always up to the demands of Boston’s harshest critic, me,” he wrote on the band’s website. “They have all been meticulously recorded to analogue tape on the same machines and equipment used for Boston’s hits for the past 35 years.”

You can hear their late frontman Brad Delp’s vocals on the tracks “Didn’t Mean to Fall in Love,” “Sail Away,” “Someone” and “Te Quiero Mia.” “Someone” is a re-recording of the original track on Corporate America, as well as “You Gave Up On Love.” Tommy DeCarlo, Kimberley Dahme, David Victor, and Tom Scholz also perform vocals on the album.

Based on the previews, Life, Love & Hope sounds like vintage Boston with the same familiar vocal harmonies, immediately catchy guitar riffs and soaring choruses that have long been their signature. Even the new album’s cover features the familiar logo and UFO artwork.

You can hear album opener “Heaven on Earth” in the video below and samples of the rest of the album at the band’s website. Tell us what you think in the comments.
