That’s right! Princess Leia Organa, I mean, Carrie Fisher is turning 57 today (Monday October 21st)!
She is the daughter of actress Debbie Reynolds, step-daughter of Elizabeth Taylor, former wife of Paul Simon, and the list goes on. She already had Meryl Streep portray her in her semi-autobiographical film Postcards from the Edge 23 years ago.
Fisher is a performer, she’s a novelist of a best seller, and she’s an icon of sexiness for generations of nerds, forever.
More than four decades after first playing Princess Leia, Fisher will be returning for the seventh film in the blockbuster series, in the new Star Wars Trilogy. Disney is now in charge since they brought out LucasFilms last October and will be preparing to shoot Episode VII in early next year.
