It’s been 20 years since Nirvana released its third and final album In Utero, and the date of its reissue is almost here. The three-disc, 70-song set will include a never-before-heard instrumental track and unreleased demos, plus Kurt Cobain’s handwritten lyrics, according to CBS News.
If all that isn’t enough to entice you buy, how about a free tattoo? Silver Platters in SoDo is offering free ink to anyone who buys the reissue on the day it’s released (Sept. 24). You can buy any of the CDs ranging from the basic to the deluxe box set. You have to be prepared to make your adoration of Nirvana permanent and commit to the iconic black smiley face. And, of course you also have to be over 21 and be willing get the tattoo done that day between noon and 6 p.m.)
Looney Tunes Records in Babylon, New York and Fingerprints in Long Beach, Calif. are also doing the free tattoos if you happen to be picking up the reissue in either of those places.
