KISS Buys An Arena Football Team And Names It KISS

First of all, this is not the NFL; it’s the Arena Football League. The same league that cancelled its 2009 season in order to figure out a way to actually make money off a sport no one watches.

And perhaps they think they’re saving the day, or most likely, they found something cheap to stick their name on, but KISS band members Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons are now AFL team owners. They’re part of a group that has been awarded an expansion franchise which will be based in Los Angeles.

The team will be called the LA KISS and will begin playing in March of next year at the Honda Center in Anaheim. The team will use the band’s KISS logo, but there is no word yet on whether the band’s black, white and silver colors will be used for the team’s uniforms… or face paint, or tighter than football tight tights.
