John Mellencamp’s teenage sons are facing charges of felony battery in Bloomington, Indiana. According to the “Herald Times,” the boys, 18-year-old Speck and 19-year-old Hud, are accused of beating up a 19-year-old man at the victim’s home on July 29th.

A third man, Ty Smith, who is the son of Indiana University baseball coach Tracy Smith, is also facing charges. Police say the three men calmly approached the unsuspecting victim while he was sitting on his own front porch and beat him, leaving facial fractures and cuts that required stitches. The victims roommates had to rush in to break up the fight.

The Mellencamps reportedly told police the attack was in response to an incident that took place at a party earlier that night. All three men have been charged with felony battery.
