Fleetwood Mac: Drama Queens?

Mick Fleetwood has survived nearly 50 years in rock’s most dysfunctional band, Fleetwood Mac. Now they’re back on the road. Mr. Fleetwood has admitted that the four main player of the band are still “totally driven by drama”, likening it to an “addiction”.

Fleetwood, John McVie, Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks (but no Christine McVie) reunited this past APril for an extensive world tour that has already been in Seattle.

“We’re totally driven by drama,” Fleetwood said in a new interview with the UK paper, The Sunday Times. “I think we’re calming down a bit, but we’re terrified of not feeling. So if nothing’s happening you’ll worry yourself into creating a drama – just so you’ve got something to react to. It’s sort of an addiction, really.”

Meantime, Fleetwood’s bandmate Stevie Nicks says that before the group started their reunion tour, she and former romantic partner guitarist Lindsey Buckingham had to get over their past drama. She says she approached Lindsey and told him that they “cannot be enemies for one more day.” So far, so good? Read here how they actually love each other.
