A few days ago, it was reported that the popular reality show star was in serious condition after an unnamed medical emergency. But just moments ago it was announced on E! News that Bachelor star Gia Allemand passed away.
Allemand, who appeared on the 14th edition of the hit ABC matchmaking series was taken to University Hospital in New Orleans on Monday night in what her representative described as “critical condition.” No details were provided about the emergency. It was later revealed that Gia had been placed on life support and that her mother and boyfriend, NBA player Ryan Anderson of the New Orleans Pelicans, were at her side.
The Twitter-sphere is busy with the news. One of Gia’s close friends Melinda Farina sent this message out before her friend died.
“@GiaAllemand is on life support w little pulse and barely breathing ..cause unknown ..next 48 hours critical please pray for Gia everyone,” she said.
Gia became a star when she made it to the final three during the 2010 season of “The Bachelor,” starring Jake Pavelka.
