Instead of sharing the remote with your significant other or your kids, you may soon have to relinquish control to your dog.
Satellite provider DirecTV is launching a 24-hour subscription cable channel for dogs next month allowing your pup to become as much of a couch potato as you are.
On DogTV‘s official website the channel is described as “cable’s first television network for dogs that is created exclusively for canines.” Don’t worry, it’s all scientific. The content was created by pet experts with impressive sounding titles like veterinary behaviorist and “America’s most trusted pet expert.” Each of the 3-6 minutes videos are made to either stimulate or relax your dog. There’s even a program that’s supposed to get your pooch used to everyday noises like vacuum cleaners and babies.
According to USA Today, the channel will be free for two weeks for current customers, then it will be $5 a month.
And JACK was just starting to believe there already was a cable channel for everything!
