A priest, a rabbi and a goat walk into a room…

Okay, it’s not a joke like that, but it’s strange and it involves a rabbi.

Rabbi Alfredo Borodowski of Weschester County in New York has been arrested in one case and is being investigated in at least two more in which police say he posed as a cop and pulled people over who drove too slowly.

According to CBS New York, Bordowski told investigators during questioning in June that, “a girl was driving too slow and I hate when people do this.” In this particular case, Bordowski allegedly pulled his Camry alongside a woman’s car, flashed a badge and shouted, “Police! Police! Pull over!”

Since that allegation surfaced, two other drivers have come forward claiming they were stopped by the renegade rabbi.

Meanwhile, the rabbi’s lawyer claims his client is undergoing treatment for bipolar disorder. Borodowski was fired from his position as executive director of the Skirball Center for Jewish Learning at Temple Emanu-El as well.
