Time Lapse Video Of The Building Of New Skagit River Bridge

Commuters dodged a bullet back on the evening of  May 23rd, when, without warning, the bridge section of  I-5 over the Skagit River bridge fell down and into the river. 2 cars went in and miraculously no one was killed.

Enjoy time-lapse video of the debris removal and the construction of the temporary Interstate 5 bridge across the Skagit river. Crews worked around the clock to meet Governor Inslee’s challenge of reopening the bridge with the temporary span in less than four weeks.
