Queen‘s Brian May has some ambitious plans that aren’t sitting well with fans of the iconic 1970s arena-rock band.
The guitarist tells MTV News UK a collaboration with the infamous Youtuber and “Gangnam Style” rapper Psy may very well be in the works. Shockingly, May admits to being impressed with the Korean star — even going as far as to saying Psy is “a significant artist.”
As expected, May’s inbox is now jam-packed with complaints from Queen fans (…and we’re pretty sure people who don’t even know Queen are upset Psy isn’t going away). May says, “I’ve had all sorts of people tweeting me saying ‘How could you do that? He’s a pop star!’ and thinking it’s very trivial, but 1.6 billion hits on YouTube you don’t get for nothing.”
May says Queen is also making plans to work again with singer Adam Lambert. (Lambert, in this writer’s opinion, would be much more musically satisfying to watch than the one-note non-singer Psy.)
Brian says he an Lambert aren’t “talking about touring yet,” but are discussing “doing an event.” Queen played a series of shows with Lambert last summer in Moscow and London.
