LAX Lost And Found: Elephant Meat, Dead Primate
Okay, so technically these items weren’t things that turned up at LAX”s lost and found, but they were seized.
According to CBS LA, Customs officials snatched a half pound of elephant meat, a dead primate and nearly 400 handbags made out of reptile skins over a four day period which started May 6.
The elephant meat, which originated from Thailand and bound for Fresno was discovered May 9. The dead primate from Indonesia, which was deemed a gift, was supposed to be shipped to Florida. And, the 387 handbags were found during a bag inspection.
