If you’re okay with cosmetic animal testing, don’t count on Sir Paul McCartney being your friend. The legendary Beatle has joined a campaign to end the practice around the world after the it was recently banned in Europe, according to the Toronto Sun.
Back in March, The European Union passed a law to ban companies from testing beauty products on animals, following years of campaigning by officials at Cruelty Free International. Now that CFI has McCartney on its side, the group thinks it has the power to get the ban to span across the globe.
McCartney applauds CFI for “taking the cruelty out of beauty across the European Union.” He says 80% of the world still allows cosmetics testing on animals.
