Chili Peppers’ Chad Smith Still Enjoys His Rock Hall Induction

Being in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has its perks, as Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith can attest. He got a private midnight tour of the Rock Hall. The Chili Peppers were inducted last year. Smith says it hit him hard when he saw his name next to The Rolling Stones and The Ramones. He says he won’t pretend like being in the Rock Hall is no big deal, because it is. He says Grammys and other awards are nice, but that’s just for that year.

It’s been a year since the Red Hot Chili Peppers were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Now Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith is excited about the musicians who’ll be inducted tonight.

Audio: Chad Smith says he’s excited that some of his friends will be inducted into the Rock Hall tonight(Rush), adding he’s proud to be in the Rock Hall because it’s an honor for his entire career. It really hit him that he was in the Rock Hall when he got a private midnight tour (Peppers photos next to the Ramones).
