This past weekend, U2 frontman Bono was partying somewhere around the desert town of Indio, CA, (home of the annual Coachella Music Festival, when he popped into a Coachella party and joined the houseband on a few numbers. The New York Post writes that Bono spontaneously jammed with the house band in front of guests Diddy, John Legend and Kellan Lutz, at a party sponsored by Rolling Stone Magazine and Patrón Tequila. (A dizzying combination.)
But just after midnight, cops showed up to shut the party down, apparently because the party hosts did not have permits for the number of people who showed up. Reports say VIPs were booted, too, but we don’t know exactly who they were. Bono was back in New York yesterday, lunching at Michael’s with Record Exec Jimmy Iovine. Pretty impressive behavior for the nearly 53 year-old Irishman, yes?
