FOR 2013 MARYMOOR PARK CONCERT SERIES

AEG Live and King County are pleased to announce an impressive initial lineup for the 2013 Concerts at Marymoor Park summer series. The summer concert series is set amidst the picturesque backdrop of King County’s gorgeous Marymoor Park located in Redmond.

June 19: Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley & Stephen Marley featuring the Ghetto Youths Crew (Wayne Marshall, Christopher Ellis, Jo Mersa and Black Am I).  Special guest The Green  ON SALE: Friday April 19 – 10am

Aug 4: Pink Martini featuring China Forbes ON SALE: Now

Influenced by Latin music, jazz, cabaret, cinema scores and more, Pink Martini brings melodies and rhythms from different parts of the world together to create an eclectic, modern sound. World-renowned and Pacific Northwest-based favorites, Pink Martini will play selections from their catalogue of nearly 20 years with band leader, Thomas Lauderdale, and vocalist, China Forbes.

Aug 13: Daryl Hall & John Oates
ON SALE: Friday April 19 – 10am 

Rock’s biggest selling duo, Daryl Hall and John Oates, will bring their unique fusion of Philly soul and rock ‘n’ roll. Fans are sure to hear some of their chart-topping hits, including: “Kiss on My List,” “Maneater,” “She’s Gone,” “Rich Girl,” “Sara Smile,” “I Can’t Go for That (No Can Do),” and “Private Eyes.” With a catalogue of music spanning decades, there is never a shortage of crowd-pleasing hits.

Aug 15: Steely Dan  ON SALE: Friday April 19 – 10am

Rock & Roll Hall of Famers and “Jazz-Rock Ambassadors to the Galaxy” Steely Dan are returning to the Pacific Northwest to perform their greatest hits and deep cuts. They have sold more than 30 million albums worldwide and helped define the soundtrack of the ‘70s. With music characterized by complex jazz-influenced structures and harmonies, Steely Dan’s Donald Fagen and Walter Becker have written hits including, ““F.M.,” “Bodhisattva,” “Reelin’ in the Years,” “Rikki Don’t Lose That Number,” “Deacon Blues,” “Peg,” “Babylon Sisters,” and “Hey Nineteen.”

Aug 23: Willie Nelson & Family ON SALE: Friday April 19 – 10am

 Willie Nelson is one of country music’s living legends and is also one of Nashville’s longest-reigning “outlaws.” He’s the creative force and voice behind timeless American classics including, “Red-Headed Stranger,” “Always On My Mind,” and “My Heroes Have Always Been Cowboys.” Never one to settle down, Willie is “On The Road Again” and making a stop at Marymoor Park.

Sept 24: Furthur featuring Phil Lesh and Bob Weir ON SALE: Friday April 19 – 10am

Former Grateful Dead members, Phil Lesh and Bob Weir, along with rockers Jeff Chimenti, John Kadlecik, and Joe Russo, push the musical envelope with jaw-dropping improvisations and loving renditions of Grateful Dead classics. New and old fans of the Dead alike will be entranced as Phil & Bob take the musical journey Furthur, exploring some of the legendary band’s most beloved songs.

Breakout, two time Grammy nominated band from Denver, The Lumineers, have taken the international music scene by storm. With raw, heartfelt lyrics and timeless melodies, their sound nods to tradition while still setting off into uncharted territory. The result is folksy guitar and foot-stomping songs that instantly connect with audiences. Riding the success of their hit singles “Ho Hey” and “Stubborn Love”, The Lumineers have headlined sold-out festivals and packed concert venues world-wide, but have many connections to the Puget Sound area. Their album was produced at Bear Creek Studios, they are managed by Seattle based company Onto Entertainment, and their first radio play came on local station KEXP. They bring their feel-good musical momentum back to the Northwest for their only headline show in the area this year to Marymoor Park this summer.
