Coma Fan Meets Bob Seger
We reported earlier last week that when a Bob Seger super fan had awoken from a five-year semi-coma, her first words were, “I want to go to a Bob Seger concert.” She’d said she really didn’t know why that popped out of her mouth, but she’s thrilled now that her wish has come true.
The Flint (Michigan) Journal reports that Evie Branan cheered, threw her hands in the air and danced during Seger’s concert Thursday night at The Palace of Auburn Hills. Seger and his family met the 79 year-old Michigander, too, and Evie got to hang with the crew and band members. Evie got the full VIP treatment.
Branan is from Flint Township. She called the night “the happiest I’ve been in a long time.”
After suffering a stroke that left Branan unable to speak, move or eat on her own, she became a resident of Willowbrook manor’s long-term care unit. She awoke from the semi-coma on May 7, 2011.
