Daft Punk To Premiere New Album At Australian Agricultural Show
Anyone looking to hear Daft Punk’s highly -anticipated new album a few days early will have to take a trip to Wee Waa, Australia. According to the rural town’s local news site, the French DJ duo will premiere “Random Access Memories” at the annual Wee Waa agricultural show on May 17th. In addition to the album launch party, attendees will also be able to enjoy a pet show, a dog high jump, a cross cut saw competition, fireworks and other “typical Australian country show entertainment.” Australia’s MusicFeeds.com says Sony Music approached Daft Punk with the idea to host the event in Wee Waa, and the duo was reportedly on board after they found out about the nearby “C.S.I.R.O. Australia Telescope and its array of satellite dishes.”
As for all the Stateside Daft Punk fans who can’t make it to Wee Waa, “Random Access Memories” is scheduled to hit stores on May 21st.
