Richie Sambora has left the upcoming leg of Bon Jovi’s tour for “personal reasons.” The band’s website did not indicate when the 53-year old lead guitarist may re-join the band. The Bon Jovi website says upcoming shows in Canada and the U.S. through April 25th will go on as scheduled.

Hours before the announcement late Tuesday, Sambora tweeted that he was “Watching more of the ‘Every Road Leads Home To You’ cover videos.” That was a reference to a fan contest promoting a song on his solo album, “Aftermath of the Lowdown.”

The 53-year-old has struggled with substance abuse and has done several stints in rehab.

But, do we Seattleites really give a damn? Because the band gets nowhere near our awesome town. San Jose is a close plane flight away, however… Here’s the tour schedule. Let us know if you fly off to see the Sambora-less band.
