A lawn-mowing drunk driving suspect is wearing an electronic tether while free on bond. Officials in Bloomfield Township say Roy Walton was drunk about a week and a half ago when he parked his lawn mower on the sidewalk in front of a pharmacy. They say they stopped him as he was leaving the store and found him to be intoxicated with a blood alcohol level over point-zero-eight-percent. Walton has been in trouble before and this felony charge is his third similar offense. Walton made a court appearance earlier this week and waived his preliminary examination. He posted bond but the case is heading to the Oakland County Circuit Court.
