After a less than stellar performance in Paris earlier this month, Madonna tries to win back her French fans.

On the last stop of her MDNA world tour in Nice, France, Madonna made a few changes to her show. Namely removing a swastika from the head of one of the country’s political leaders.

In the video, which she has played throughout the tour, the Nazi symbol is superimposed on the forehead of Marine Le Pen, along with other famous figures like Sarah Palin, Pope Benedict XVL and China’s President, Hu Jintao. After a show in Paris where she played the video the leader of the French National Front, the country’s far right political party, threatened to sue.

Madonna continued to show the video, telling the New York Times the symbol represented her message of “the intolerance that we human beings have for one another.”

But for her latest stop in France at the Palais Nikaia, she removed the swastika from Le Pen’s head and in its place added a question mark.

“I know that I made a certain Marine Le Pen very angry with me,” Madonna stated last month after members of the French National Front starting covering up posters for the concert with pictures of Le Pen. “And it’s not my intention to make enemies.

But the Material Girls stubbornness didn’t help her ticket sales in France, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

A spokesperson from the city of Nice told a French radio station that they had given away 4,400 free tickets to the August 21 show.

“The Nikaia concert hall obviously was having trouble filling seats, so they gave us between 2,000 and 2,200 invitations valid for two people,” a city spokesperson said.

The director of concert venue later denied the claims and said that they’d only given away around 250 tickets.

Will this be the case when her MDNA tour makes its way to the States? Last time we checked, there were still tickets available for the tour opener on August 28 in Philadelphia, PA, along with the majority of her stops across the U.S.
