16th Annual Tastin’ and Racin’ Comes To Lake Sammamish
This weekend, amazing food and heart pounding Hydroplane Racing action comes to the shores of Lake Sammamish.
It’s the 16th Annual Tastin’ and Racin’ event Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Friday features the Hydro Happy Hour starting at 4pm featuring live music from British Export. Saturday and Sunday feature a ton of food and festivies listed below, beginning at 9am both days.

VINTAGE UNLIMITED HYDROPLANE EXHIBITION– Yes, on Lake Sammamish, Unlimited Hydroplanes are going to wake up the neighborhood each day with loud and proud favorites from yesteryear like the Miss Thriftway, Miss Wahoo, & the Oh! Boy Oberto. Do not miss this opportunity to see these boats running up close and personal!
GRAND PRIX HYDROPLANE RACING– is being held at Tastin n Racin one of the premiere events on the circuit. There will be 8-10 supercharged boats thundering around Lake Sammamish competing for the Cup title at this great event.
FOOD BOOTHS: Delicious choices from Mexican Haystacks to Bar-B-Q ribs and Ice Cream to Sno Cones.
ARTS & CRAFTS: Dozens of vendors offering jewelry to clothes, and free drawings to free samples.
MAIN STAGE: O’Brien Law Firm presents two days of live music on the Main Stage stage featuring tributes to AC/DC, 80’s Metal, Elvis, Grunge, Whiskey River’s tribute to Lynard Skynard & RANDY HANSEN’S tribute to Jimi Hendrix
Mastercraft X-Treme Wakeboard Exhibition: If the Hydros are not enough, thrill to the daredevil display put on by semi-prom wakeboardists in between races.
Miller Lite Beer Gardens: two beer gardens will be serving Miller and Miller Lite brews. One by the main stage by the bands and other on the beach with a full view of the racecourse.
Kids Activities: Inflatable rides, Park toys, games, swimming, climbing wall, pony rides, and lots more!
Hydroplane racing: 8 classes of Hydroplanes creating Thunder & Lightning on Lake Sammamish. Featured class is the Grand Prix’s. These boats can hit up to 160 down the shoot and they are loud just like the old Unlimited Hydros.
Classic Car Show: Kellstrom publishing presents the Classic Car show on Sunday. Hundreds of beautifully restored cars on display looking to take home the trophies. This is a crowd favorite.
Washington State Parks: will be offering the Discover Pass for $20. Regularly $30, Tastin n Racin is going to subsidize $10 for our guests. The parks will have a sales booth on site for this special deal.
Hydroplane Museum: Vintage Unlimited Hydroplanes will be on display. Maybe the Thriftway, the Hawaii Kai, the Slo Mo, or the Bardahl. Great for photo ops of kids with dads and grandpas (or moms and grammas).
Parking is free, and tickets are $10 for general admission, $5 for kids 6-16 and Seniors 65+ and children under 5 are free. For more information click HERE.
