Guitar wizard Joe Walsh has announced a 2012 solo tour to begin after The Eagles wrap up their current gigs throughout North America and overseas. Walsh has scheduled 11 shows so far starting in May and running intermittently through August. The tour is in support of his new solo album Analog Man, set for a June 6th release.

Classic Rock Magazine reports the title track, “refers playfully to the new digital age; one which he has adapted to, but notes in the song: ‘What’s wrong with vinyl? I think it sounds great… I am what I am – I’m an Analog Man’.”

“It’s been 20 years and I have a lot to say,” says Walsh. “These songs come from the heart… I just really feel like it’s all come together and finally I feel like a complete person and a complete musician… I think there is some confidence in there that I never had. That’s what I was hiding.”

Even after joining The Eagles in 1976, Walsh has had a successful parallel career as a solo artist and as a member of acclaimed bands like The James Gang and Barnstorm. Joe Walsh’s Analog Man tour is coming to the Seattle area with an August 30th stop at the Tulalip Resort Casino Amphitheatre, just north of Everett.
