KISS Crash Country Awards, Get Red Carpet

Once icons of all that was unholy about rock and roll, taking the gender-bending glam of Alice Cooper and The New York Dolls to new levels of debauchery, KISS are now so shockingly mainstream that their arrival on the American Country Music awards red carpet in Las Vegas Sunday night was a well-planned photo op... with the band arriving in a Monster Truck, dangling their high-heeled boots, codpieces, and tongues from the caged bed for cheering Reba McEntire, Lady Antebellum, and Kelly Clarkson fans. Gene Simmons  and Paul Stanley expressed their love for mainstream country music, and noted the progression of American music from the rockabilly days of Carl Perkins and Elvis to…..well, KISS. More.

Kiss and Motley Crue play the White River Amphitheater Saturday August 18th. Yee Ha!
