The Boss is taking over Late Night With Jimmy Fallon all week long. Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band will perform on Monday and Friday night, with other celebrated artists paying tribute to Springsteen and company the rest of this week. Bruce and his band will play two songs Monday night and Springsteen will be the only guest on Friday.

Expect Fallon to interview Springsteen at length Friday with several songs performed. No telling if The Boss will appear in any skits with Jimmy this week. Rolling Stone reminds us “In November 2010, Springsteen dressed up like himself circa-1975 (complete with a wig and fake beard) to perform a cover of Willow Smith‘s Whip My Hair alongside Jimmy Fallon in his Neil Young costume.”

Rolling Stone reports Tuesday night Kenny Chesney will sing I’m On Fire, which he released in 2004. Elvis Costello will perform Brilliant Disguise with Fallon’s house band The Roots on Thursday. They have not announced the plans for Wednesday night, so expect almost anything.

These are the only announced late night TV appearances for Springsteen and the E Street Band before they head out on tour in support of The Wrecking Ball beginning March 18th in Atlanta.

Here’s a look at Bruce singing live on the streets of Copenhagen in 1988:
