Soundgarden accidentally leaked some of England’s Download Festival line up while announcing their participation. Rock News Desk reports “when Soundgarden announced they’d be appearing at the three-day festival, a band representative uploaded a picture of an early-stages promo poster to their Facebook page, which gave away more than organizers Live Nation intended.”

The poster that was put online ahead of schedule, “revealed Little Angels have reformed for the festival’s tenth anniversary while Machine Head, Tenacious D, Biffy Clyro, Anthrax, Trivium, Lamb of God, Devin Townsend Project, DevilDriver, Ugly Kid Joe and August Burns Red are already signed up. Download Festival booking agent Andy Copping’s usually busy Twitter account fell silent after the Soundgarden gaffe, tweeting only “Happy?” The festival’s Twitter account said: “Fair to say that Download 2012 is going to be one intense ride.” The official website showed a version of the poster only listing headliners Black Sabbath, Metallica and The Prodigy, with the rest of the bill blanked-out.

It looks like Def Leppard will join System of a Down, Linkin Park and more at the three day festival. Trash Talk, Twisted Sister, Duff McKagan’s Loaded and Down have also been reportedly added to this year’s Download bill. The 2012 Download Festival is set for June 8th to 10th.
