Spoken word artist & hard rocker Henry Rollins is throwing a charity concert to benefit Drop In The Bucket, a charity that helps with water and sanitation projects in sub-Saharan Africa. He’s already recruited Jane’s Addiction‘s Dave Navarro, Slipknot‘s Corey Taylor, Scott Ian from Anthrax, Dave Lombardo from Slayer and assorted members of Rob Zombie‘s band.
Add legendary artist Shepard Fairey, who designed the exclusive poster for the event shown below, as a guest DJ. Kate Flannery of The Office will deliver a hilarious musical comedy routine with her ironic lounge act, The Lampshades.
The star-studded line-up will play in Los Angeles at the Avalon Hollywood on November 30th. Corey Taylor told UK’s Daily Express Drop In The Bucket is a charity ,”close to his heart.”
He says, “Millions of people live without water on a daily basis when we as Americans treat it like used tissue paper. It’s only common sense to think that if I can do something to not only help, but also raise awareness, then that’s exactly what I’m going to do. Drop In The Bucket is one of the most important and selfless causes I have ever had the privilege to be a part of. And I can only hope that I do some good for it.”
