Stone Temple Pilots frontman Scott Weiland has put off the release of his Christmas album until later this month.  AudioInkRadio reports The Most Wonderful Time of the Year  “was originally scheduled to drop this Tuesday, but the release date has been pushed back”, to October 24th.

Weiland croons some of the Christmas classics including Bing Crosby‘s White Christmas,  I’ll Be Home for Christmas, What Child Is This? and Silent Night.  Word is Weiland brings a “broad array of styles on the LP, from big band swing to reggae to bossa nova” to the holiday project.  It’s not his first trip down the holiday tune aisle, Weiland released Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas as a single, and played the song live on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno in 2006.
