Amazon Releases New Kindles Including A Tablet

Amazon held their event this morning in NYC and unleashed a slew of new Kindle products.

Not only did Amazon release the expected Fire Tablet for a crazy low $199, but they also released redesigned Kindles starting at $79. The Fire is based on Android and is meant as a way to consume Amazon media including books, movies and music. The new Kindles drop the physical keyboard in favor of an onscreen one, which can be used via a button on the base Kindle and a touchscreen on upgraded models. You can read more about them over at
