Australian rockers INXS have fired singer J. D. Fortune, for a second time, and have released a new song featuring a mystery frontman. Spinner.com reports Fortune has been fired from INXS for the second time in four years, and he recently tweeted, “As of now I have not been invited to be a part of INXS’s new music.” The band seems to be moving forward without Fortune, who became INXS lead singer after winning the reality TV show Rock Star: INXS in 2005.
Australia’s HeraldSun.com reports there’s a new INXS song Tiny Summer that has been released on the band’s website with a mystery Irish vocalist on board. The Herald Sun says the band is expected to make an official announcement about Fortune’s departure and reveal their new singer’s identity sometime in the next week. The paper also says band insiders claim with yet another singer fronting the band since the death of Michael Hutchence, INXS may revert to their original name The Farriss Brothers.
