Our friends at MP3.com recently relaunched their site, and to celebrate we’re helping them give away some fantastic new songs for free! Today, we’re featuring “Wrong Way Kids” from Bad Religion.
It’s hard to believe L.A.’s hard-rock/punk vets have now been at it for 30 years. However, it shouldn’t be surprising that they’re still keeping things as relevant as ever on their 15th studio album, The Dissent Of Man.
Produced by Joe Barresi (Queens of the Stone Age, Tool), Bad Religion’s latest showcases the band’s hardcore tempos and is as blazing as ever, as witnessed on the track “Wrong Way Kids.”
According to the band, the inspiration behind the video to “Wrong Way Kids” came up last year when Bad Religion celebrated its 30th anniversary. The song is described as:
“What it felt like to come of age in the burgeoning Los Angeles hardcore scene, and what it feels like looking back on it today after all we’ve been through together,” says the group on epitaph.com (its label site). “So we gathered lots of rare and never before seen footage (some of it dating back to 1981), put it all together in roughly chronological order and set it to the music.”
The result? Bad Religion still has its hometown-hero status while also representing hardcore music worldwide; The Dissent Of Man reached #35 on the Billboard charts.
