Michael Bay may be done with the Transformers franchise, but it appears we haven’t seen the last of the Autobots and Decepticons.

According to series producer Don Murphy we won’t see a reboot, but there is possibly another trilogy on the way:

What happens next? Certainly not a reboot. We haven’t lost the Transformers. They didn’t grow up or become expensive like Toby Maguire. I don’t know what happens next. I’m pretty sure there will be a second trilogy. I am pretty sure it will kick ass. And I am pretty sure some of you will hate it because it wasn’t all bots.

A reboot probably wouldn’t happen anyway due to the Transformers universe having so many untold stories. We wouldn’t mind seeing a new, more traditional(read not ugly) look to the characters, but only time will tell.
